September sees the launch of the long awaited Digital to Analogue Convertor from Naim Audio. If you use any digital source (in stereo) then the DAC will improve the sound dramatically. Using the Naim DC1 Coaxial cable or an Optical Digital cable you can connect your PC, Mac, Music Server, CD Player, Sky Box, DVD Player or Games Console to any of the 4 inputs. DAC also accepts USB Sticks and iPods which can be controlled by the supplied remote too. Connection of the DAC to your HiFi amplifier is simple via the Phono outputs or Naim DIN connection. The DAC is upgradebale too by adding a Naim XPS or 555 PS power supply.

Listening tests at Custom Electronic Design can confirm that the new DAC makes a superb upgrade to any digital source, improving the detail, musicality and dynamics. With Naim sources such as the CDX2 and HDX, the improvment was also very impressive. The Naim DAC will retail at £1950
